  • 89th annual Smead Luncheon

    Friday, May 17 | 11:30 a.m.
    Millhon Auditorium
For 88 years, the Smead Luncheon has recognized engagement with and embrace of the Maumee Valley mission and vision. In cooperation with the Maumee Valley Alumni Council, the school is excited to announce that the luncheon is returning to a traditional May date. In addition to celebrating the service and impact of alumni via the Alumni Service and Alumni Achievement awards at this event, we are adding a new award
  • Spirit of MV Award: Recognizing exemplary current students and student groups for devotion to Maumee Valley.
We also are adding the MVFA Volunteer of the Year Award to our program. The Maumee Valley Family Association has typically awarded this honor during its own spring ceremony, and now it becomes part of our formal luncheon. The award recognizes exemplary service by an individual on behalf of the Maumee Valley Family Association to the school and its faculty, students, and staff.

With seven awards total, Maumee Valley and the Alumni Council are dividing them between the Smead Luncheon and Homecoming festivities. The spring (Smead) awards will be:
  • Alumni Achievement Award
  • Alumni Service Award
  • Spirit of MV Award
  • MVFA Volunteer of the Year Awards
This fall (Homecoming) awards will be:
  • Lifetime Dedication Award
  • Alumni Parent Dedication Award
  • Young Alumni Achievement Award
